I arrived in Bangkok as a traveler, born in Hong Kong and raised in Australia, looking for inspiration. I found it in the most heartbreaking place: a dying kitten on a busy street. In that moment, the “healing” power I had always felt from my own cats, Poker and Penny, became my life’s purpose. I realized I couldn’t just be a visitor in this city—I had to become a protector.

Asok Pethouse was born from that choice. It is a sanctuary for the “unseen”—the strays, the seniors, and the survivors like Dreamy, who had to relearn how to walk after years in a cage. We aren’t just a cafe; we are a place where humans and cats come to breathe, connect, and heal together.

Kindness shouldn’t have to compromise on quality. To make our mission sustainable, I’ve poured just as much heart into our menu as I have into our rescue work. We’ve created a lifestyle-focused space where the coffee is premium and the food is thoughtful because every detail supports a life.

While we collaborate with PAWS Bangkok for the medical needs of our foster cats, the daily care, nurturing, and operation of this sanctuary are funded by the cafe. By being a destination for food and lifestyle lovers, we ensure that Asok Pethouse remains a sustainable bridge between the street and a forever home.
