Meet the Resident Cats of Asok Pethouse
Each of our resident cats arrived here through a different path. Some through rescue. Some through circumstance. All through care. They share this space not just as residents, but as individuals — each with their own personality and quiet presence.

The Cats Who Call This Place Home
Meet the resident cats who have become part of daily life at Asok Pethouse.
Penny
Penny was adopted by our founder from RSPCA Australia and later brought to Bangkok. In many ways, he became the inspiration behind Asok Pethouse — a place created to give rescued cats a second chance, leading to more than 400 adoptions.
Sleeping in the best spots · Good food · Being the chonky boss
Penny is affectionately known as the café’s chonky boss — and the quiet inspiration behind more than 400 cat adoptions through Asok Pethouse.
Pumpkin
Pumpkin was adopted by our founder from a friend who could no longer care for him. Calm, curious, and irresistibly cute, he is often found quietly observing the café from his favourite spot.
His favourite spot · Quiet observation · Peaceful routines
Many guests remember Pumpkin as the fluffy orange cat of the café.
Magrat
Magrat was rescued as a kitten in late 2021, saved from a monitor lizard before her story could end too soon. Today she is one of the gentlest presences in the café. Quiet and soft‑natured, she prefers calm moments and slow companionship.
Quiet corners · Sitting beside guests · Peaceful moments
If you sit long enough, Magrat may quietly curl up beside you.
Kot
Kot and Squicky were rescued from the streets and later cared for by a foster family. When their foster moved abroad, they needed a new home once again. In April 2023 they found it here.
Good rubs · Napping beside Squicky · Snuggling
Kot sticks out his tongue when he enjoys a really good rub.
Squicky
Squicky is shy and gentle. She arrived with Kot and the two are inseparable. With time she grew from a cautious observer into a calm café companion. If she wants attention, she will softly meow to you.
Staying near Kot · Quiet corners · Calm company
Squicky’s little moustache is one of her most recognizable features.
Pepper
Pepper is one of five kittens born to a friend’s Persian cat. She is calm and gentle but prefers her own space. You might spot her running gracefully on the cat wheel.
The cat wheel · Quiet space · Moving at her own rhythm
If you see a cat running elegantly on the wheel, it's probably Pepper.
Pudding
Pudding was rescued by two Chinese students with his sibling Pasta. When they returned home, we continued caring for them. Pasta lives with our founder, while Pudding chose café life.
Playing · Being around people · Bringing energy to the café
Pudding clearly decided café life suited him best.
Puma
Puma was left behind after a rescuer brought her in for TNR. When space opened, we welcomed her. Her affectionate and easy‑going nature brings calm energy into the café.
Snuggles · Human touch · Relaxed company
She originally arrived with the name Kim. When she fit in so naturally with the café, we welcomed her into our “P” family and gave her a new name — Puma.
